OK, so we're really not big enough to be a *real* farm - on 10 acres, we're more of a hobby farm *grin* Still, we've decided to name it... no decision has been made yet, and we would welcome suggestions!! (hint, hint, hint...)
Of course we tossed around the idea of using our last name, of a variation on our school name (HomeFront Academy), and miscellaneous other ideas - we came up with a couple others yesterday - Rocky Road Farm (self explanatory if you've ever driven the road out to our place, haha) and Windy Acres (also self explanatory if you've been out here!) Thus far, my personal favorite is Windy Acres. We shall see...
So, in order to incorporate (or if that is what you call it) as a farm, we need to get a farm number through the county extension office apparently, and then a tax ID number - who knew?? Well, I'm learning a lot!
Anyway, now the decision is to be made if we want to become "official", or if we continue just being us with some farm animals. Not sure yet, and I'm researching the pros and cons both ways - not like I have anything else to do, right? haha... yeah, life is never ending busy - but that's good, it's not healthy for me to get bored!
So, if you have farm name suggestions, I'd love to hear them!!
